Position Overview:
As a Robot Assembly Technician/Technologist, you will be responsible for the timely assembly of the SWR and ensuring it is built to the highest standard of quality. The successful candidate will have prior experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and be capable of reading engineering drawings and schematics. The Robot Assembly Technician/Technologist is a critical link in the operations team and will enable the success of the SWR with our clients.
The successful candidate must be able to attend an interview in person and will work out of our North Vancouver, BC office; Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of electrical systems
  • Follow drawings, schematics, and procedures to assemble and test parts
  • Perform quality checks on parts and assemblies
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free workspace
  • Assist in the disassembly and crating of products
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to assist in resolving product/process issues

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical training and/or diploma in a related field (robotics, mechatronics, electronics or similar)
  • Experience working with electrical assemblies including Electrical panel building, stripping, crimping, and terminating wires, electrical hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and carefully follow electrical engineering drawings and instructions
  • Conduct electrical inspections for incoming and outgoing parts.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Experience in a start-up manufacturing or small scale production environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Capable of working independently to a firm production schedule
  • Ability to work in an open and honest group on how to improve designs, systems, and processes
  • Is skilled at using PC based computer software

Preferred Additional Qualifications and Experience:

  • Forklift use experience
  • Fieldwork and equipment installation experience
  • Ability to occasionally work long days as required to meet production targets
  • PLC Programming experience
  • MIG Welding experience
