Education
Post-secondary education Diploma in Engineering Technology

– or –

Skilled Trades Certification and some robot programming experience

Experience

· Development of Robot programs with current generation Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kuka controllers including:

o Teaching points, I/O mapping, Sequence generation, Function calls, Error handling

o Safety mapping / set-up

o Calibration, Control of Aux axis, Synchronized motion

o PLC communication, Trouble shooting, Cycle Time Optimization

o Development and trouble shooting of MIG/GMAW welds using Lincoln, Fronius, Miller power sources

o Development and trouble shooting of spot welds with Bosch and Medar weld controls

o Knowledge of weld inspection and tear-down procedures

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

· Offline programming & simulation (RobotStudio, RoboGuide, Motosim, others)

· Skilled Trade (Electrician, Millwright, Tool & Die, Machine-Tool Builder etc.)

· Ability to tune weld fixtures to achieve geometry

· PLC programming, controls trouble-shooting

Other Requirements:

· A valid Ontario driver’s license

· Willing to travel customers’ facilities for installation and commissioning

· A valid Passport and the ability to travel occasionally throughout North America

· Competency in English (both verbal and written)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$35.00 per hour
