Robotic Welder Operator – Day and Afternoon Shifts Available – Cambridge ON

Day Shift – Monday-Friday- 7am-3:20pm

Afternoon Shift – Monday-Thursday – 10 hour shifts – 3pm-1:30am

$2.00/hour shift premium applies!

Tigercat Industries Inc. is a privately owned Canadian manufacturer that designs, manufactures and assembles premium quality, purpose-built forestry equipment for felling, transporting, processing, and loading tree-length and cut-to-length timber.

Job Description

Setup and Operate Robotic Welder (Panasonic)

Inspection of all welds to ensure conformance to specifications

Removal of completed parts from work area and preparation for next production stage

Completion of paperwork as required

Small amount of manual welding

Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as SMAW (shielded metal arc) and GMAW (gas metal arc) welding equipment, arc air

Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding

Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals

Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained

Regular operating maintenance

Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in assembly, fabrication and welding

Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes

Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination

Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as well as the ability to reach below, at and above shoulder height to repair and fabricate

Effective problem solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions

Highly organized with a positive attitude

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing

Positive attitude through effective and friendly communication
