Full Job Description

The robot technician requires a daily work schedule that may include overtime. Mechanical aptitude is a plus in this roll.

The ability to perform robotic welding from loading parts to cycle through the robotic welder to robotic welding programmer.

Robotic Welding Technician Level 2

Assemble and organize all parts needed for the current job

Load parts onto fixture and check fitment

Use Teach Pendant to touch-up or modify robotic welds

Inspect each weld to ensure full coverage

Unload fixtures

Prep parts for robot welding

Weld and touch-up any incorrect welds on weldment

Grind, cut and weld necessary parts

Understanding of blueprints

Robotic Welding Technician Level 3

Perform robot touch-ups or modify robot welds

Load and unload weldments

Pull and prep parts

Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding

Robotic Welding Technician Lead

Manage robot welding workflow

Advanced robotic welder programming

Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding

Proficient in loading and unloading robots

Robotic welding program touch up and adjustment

Assist in fixture design

Ability to adjust fixtures to be within tolerance

Advanced blueprint reading

Understanding and ability to operate mill and lathe machining

Fixture fabrication and assembly

Ensure demands and inventory for department are met by appropriate deadlines

Ability to verify quality of robotic weldments

CMM report understanding and trouble shooting from CMM reports

Perform weldment data input

Assist and train employees with robotic programming and loading/unloading

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety by completing preventive maintenance per established schedules

Ability to set up new fixtures

Ability to troubleshoot robot welder

Ensure robot welding team is producing quality products and meeting deadlines
