Atlas-Apex Roofing (BC) Inc. located in Richmond, BC is looking for Experienced & Pre-Apprentice workers for positions in the Sheet Metal Department.
Sheet Metal Department – Fabrication & Field Installation Positions – Roof Related Sheet Metal
Wage range from $30-$42/hr depending on experience, product knowledge, skillset, Trade Certification, Training Certificates, etc.
- Must be a team player who is dependable and reliable
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, high energy environment
- Weight handling can be over 45kg
- On site work environment is outdoors and subjected to all weather conditions.
- Worker must wear necessary Protective Equipment
- Own transportation is an asset –drivers abstract required
- Ability to learn and follow our extensive safety policy
- Intermediate English skills
Responsibilities of Fabrication Positions:
- Site measuring, fabrication, installation of post roof install sheet metal
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Fit and join sheet metal parts, corner miters
- Fabricate custom scuppers, drains, square to rounds, etc.
- Read and interpret detail drawings and specifications
Responsibilities of Field Installation Positions:
- Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills
- Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
- Install wall panel products according to specifications and building codes
- Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
- Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
- Secure metal panels in place, and interlock and fasten grooved panel edges
- Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components to repair sheet metal items
