Overview
Our client in Mississauga is looking for a senior assembler/fabricator who has experience and knowledge of CNC router and milling machines. The successful candidate for this position will have an enthusiasm to learn, a great personality and produce quality work that they are proud of.
Shift time: 7:30 am – 4 : 30 pm
Pay Rate: Depending upon experience and skills
Responsibilities:
You will be involved in all aspects of production of our custom, unique, displays:
- Fabricate steel and aluminum structures (cutting, notching, riveting, etc.);
- Assemble metal components ensuring all tolerances are met;
knowledge of CNC router and milling machines
- Follow project drawings;
- Wire low voltage (12 v/24 v) lighting components for LED lit signage;
- Roll, bend, and swage tube (prerequisite skill is not required, but must be learned on the job);
- Procure inventory supplies;
- Maintain production area in line with 5S standards;
- Complete quality control procedures on work you and your teammates complete; and
- Assist finishing side as needed (marking, cutting, grommeting, etc.)
Requirements:
- Completely fluent with written and verbal English (required);
- Strong work ethic and desire to improve/learn;
- Experience in manufacturing or other related fields (3+ years required with preference to candidates with previous experience working in tradeshow or experiential marketing industries)
- Experience reading blueprints and ability to follow instructions and/or drawings with minimal supervision, making sure all tolerances are met
- Experience overseeing projects and work completed by others
- Forklift certification (preferred, but not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
