The Senior Orbital Welder will be responsible for manufacturing ultra-clean orbital weldment assemblies in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. Maintaining communication with and production departments regarding various assigned duties

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and assist orbital welding staff.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and tooling relative to the operation of orbital welding.
  • Performs orbital welding of gas lines ranging from ¼” to ½” in diameter.
  • Ensure weldments are built to specification based on the blueprint.
  • Perform small adjustments to weldments utilizing hand tools.
  • Performs daily, routine, and preventative maintenance on cleanroom equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience and Skills:

  • Welding: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Orbital Welding: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Solid mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools; ability to identify common hardware and build to complex instructions.
  • Mechanically inclined with a fair level of dexterity to construct simple to complex assemblies or parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focused.
  • Knowledge of high vacuum systems a plus.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good computer knowledge in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in Great Plaines Dynamics experience a plus or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System .
  • Must be able to work well in a team and/or individually.
  • Work effectively with a multinational team.

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 – $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
