AWC Water Solutions Ltd. is an industry leader in providing custom turnkey water and wastewater treatment systems. The AWC team has delivered over 500 integrated water, wastewater and industrial packaged solutions throughout North America and further abroad. We perform all functions in-house, which include: advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modelling, piloting, fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, project management, commissioning and training as well as a full range of field services. We have moved to a new larger facility in Langley, BC with over 45,000 sqft of shop space that is complete with overhead cranes, spacious work areas, a new high efficiency air handling system and the latest tools and equipment. Our experienced team has been fabricating specialized equipment for over 30 yrs. We have recently achieved over 1 million hours worked without a lost time incident which reflects our commitment to safety at all levels in the organization.

AWC is currently seeking a Pipe Welder / Fitter to join our team.

Responsibilities will include:
Cut, fit and weld piping materials including stainless-steel, carbon and occasionally aluminum

Occasional structural work as required

Read blueprints and drawings

Use various tools and equipment (e.g. positioners, hand power tools, shear, brake press, iron worker, chop saws, horizontal band saws)

Set up the appropriate welding equipment or method(s) according to engineered specifications and requirements following WPDS.

Fabricate pipe spools, tanks, pressure vessels, skid-mounted systems, and various process systems and components

Test and inspect welded spools and structures to ensure quality standards and fabrication tolerances are met

Maintain equipment as per safety guidelines and adhere to safety regulations

Follow quality control procedures as required

Additional Expectations

Following safety protocols and participate in HSE initiatives

Safe use and operation of forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, rigging, and other hand tools as required.

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Daily inspection of tools, equipment and PPE

Requirements

Proven experience as a welder/fabricator with level B certification – TSBC Class A ticket preferred.

Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW SMAW

Ability to accurately read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Ability to align components using calipers, rulers, clamps etc.

Strong work ethic and pride in delivering high quality results.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

CSA W47.1 experience and welding tickets considered an asset.

Certified CWB Welding Inspection is considered an asset.

Structural fabrication experience considered an asset.
