Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, performs complex assembly and welding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Fluxcore Arc Welding (FCAW) Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), Plasma Transferred Arc Welding (PTAW), hardfacing, Oxy-Fuel brazing and heat treatment, induction brazing and heat treatment, cutting, or tacking in a shop environment.

Follows written or verbal instructions that may include interpreting engineering specifications, reading blueprints and drawings; and must be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.

Uses specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies as required to meet regulatory requirements.

Safety procedures must be followed diligently at all times i.e.

Perform welding assembly process in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and policies.

All work is done in a stringent quality oriented environment, and employees in position are expected to have good communication and computer skills.

Additionally, is knowledgeable about welding inspections and may train other employees.

Other tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized lifting equipment. Maintains certifications in the use of product lifting devices, overhead cranes and material handling equipment.

Performs quality audits, tests, visuals and process checks.

Qualifications:
High School/GED/Secondary School is required as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience.

6 -10 years of experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred.
