About Us
Ward was founded in 1965 by Maurice Ward on the simple principal of engineering & manufacturing high quality equipment built to last. The equipment stood the test of time and so has that principal, it is still our driving force today.
Many years of experience have allowed Ward to develop a broad product line of industrial equipment and become an industry leader in bulk material handling.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary Welding training (CWB Certification) would be preferred.
- Minimum of 5 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment with manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Minimum of 5 year of Fluxcore welding (FCAW) experience.
- All candidates will be required to pass a Fluxcore (FCAW) test.
- Crane training / experience is preferred in the use of Overhead Cranes.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings to manufacture component parts or assemblies to manufacturers specifications, work orders, bills of materials or welding process specifications.
- Process raw materials working from blue prints, and specifications.
- Create components free of weld faults, performing in process and final inspection of own work.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using Fluxcore welding (FCAW).
- Use hand, air, power tools, welding equipment for production welding in horizontal and flat positions.
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of welding machine and welding accessories.
- Repair welds, fix broken or cracked metal components, fill holes and build up metal parts. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
- Perform routine, maintenance (wire, nozzle, and tips) to ensure proper functioning equipment.
- Assist other team members with technical issues and/or production concerns.
- Support the movement of materials for fabrication to paint areas.
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Safety Skills
- Physically able to lift up to 55 pounds
- Safe handling of material using a forklift and crane
- Individuals must follow all company safety rules and policies.
- The use of personal protective equipment will be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.00-$34.00 per hour
