Job Description

This individual assigned to this role will be responsible to work for the execution of the following tasks at our client location, supporting first shift:

  • Support Test Sensor engineering efforts in procurement and placement of engine test instrumentation for multiple engine programs. Responsibilities include fabricate, install and verification of multiple types of instrumentation. Examples: Pressure, Temperature, Dynamic/Static/Combo Strain Gages, Thermocouples, Accelerometers, Load Cells, and Pressure transducers
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, understand basic engineering principles, test techniques, process flow, and instrumentation principles
  • Responsibilities/area of expertise to include:
  • Review and implement incoming engineering drawings for conformance to customer work standards
  • Following established company procedures for engine ODDress, wiring and connector termination
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external customers
  • Work in a team environment to help solve complex engineering problems
  • Work with Test and Sensor Applications Engineering on test instrumentation installation, checkout, and troubleshooting
  • Read and comprehend test procedures and electrical schematics
  • Work with different types of adhesives and methods of securing instrumentations to exact and predetermined locations
  • Work with soldering irons, wire crimpers, heat guns, power tools, tack and water welder, multi-meter and other checkout equipment
  • Provide technical guidance and training to new hire technicians
  • Experience with low and high temperature strain gage installations is a plus
  • Help develop improvements in standard practices to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Overtime, weekend and holiday coverage may be required
  • This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status.
