Overview

Purpose

Under limited supervision, repairs and rebuilds concrete pumps and heavy equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Troubleshoot equipment to evaluate repairs that are needed on concrete pumps/heavy equipment.

Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems and complete appropriate repairs.

Follow standard assembly procedures to perform rework and repair on manufactured equipment.

Disassemble, measure, reposition and install parts to reassemble unit according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and standard work instructions as required.

Connect hydraulic lines and fill with oil in preparation for testing.

Test assembled parts or products to ensure the unit is functioning properly and meets quality specifications.

Follow established safety and environmental procedures.

Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices and procedures.

Maintain tools and the work space in good condition.

Maintenance and Service Repair.

May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Demands:
Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment while on the production floor 95% of the time.

Perform work outdoors in all weather 5% of the time.

Heavy machinery.

Education/Skills/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate’s degree in auto repair), preferred.

2-4 years’ experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferred.

CDL driver’s license with current health card, preferred.

Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems.

Technical knowledge of the equipment and tools is required.

Strong Attention to detail.

Self starter.

Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
