Overview
Job Duties:
- Welding using smaw and fcaw
- Welding, grinding, cutting, rigging and labor intensive work.
- Demolition of old, rusted, bent metal.
- Cleaning and prepping for weld
- Fitting and fabrication of steel
- Working from heights when required
- Safety is a must
- Fire watch
- Hole watch
Requirements
- Previous work on ships or shipyards(not required but preferred)
- Good attitude
- Willing to work hours as scheduled(overtime required)
- Ability to use oxy/acetylene torches
- Be aware of construction specific safety
- Ability to use various types of hand tool
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Previous fabrication/welding
THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN MICHIGAN.
Per Diem will be paid to employees who live over 70 miles from the job site. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE FROM MICHIGAN TO APPLY.

Pay: $15.00 – $22.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Welding: 2 years (Preferred)
