JOB GOAL
Under the direction of the Metal Shop Foreman, the Shop Fabricator will
maintain the schedule of metal fabrication for all assigned projects. The Shop
Fabricator will keep track of and organize all orders and help with the loading
and unloading of materials arriving and departing from the shop. Ongoing
communication will be done with the Shop Foreman, Metal and Service
Superintendents, Project Managers and the General Manager.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

➢ Comfortable working with equipment such as the Brake, Schere,
Locker and other miscellaneous power tools
➢ Meticulous at measuring metal by job specific colours and guage as
per specs outlined on the measuring sheets
➢ Thorough at conducting metal counts and tracking jobs to help them
stay within their estimated limits
➢ Ability to function efficiently under pressure, manage multiple demands
and meet strict deadlines
➢ Organized and can coordinate times for vehicles to pick up and drop off
metal supplies
➢ Safety consequence and always looking for ways to improve efficiency
➢ Ability to maintain a clean, organized and accessible metal shop
➢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
➢ Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job including but not
limited to standing, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
heavy equipment and supplies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
➢ 1 – 3 years’ experience in architectural sheet metal roofing and
fabrication
➢ Experience working with shears and shop equipment and at soldering
and fabricating various flashing and wall panels
➢ WHMIS and Forklift training
➢ A valid BC Driver’s License
