Overview
The Shop General Laborer, must be a safety conscious, hardworking individual and is an entry level position in the process of assembly and fabrication of equipment. Work will be performed at times in a team environment. Good communication skills are required and the ability to follow directions.
Qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent is required.
Graduation from a two-year technical trade program is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working independently in a shop environment.
Ability to bend and lift in excess of 50 pounds.
General computer skills are necessary.
Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical skills is preferred including electrical, welding, machinery
Responsibilities
- Assembling and manufacturing parts for our product line
- Working with machinery: lathes, drill presses, etc.
- Powder coating
- Manufacturing of computer security cables
- Packaging and performing checklist for our product line

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- construction: 1 year (preferred)
- Construction & Extraction Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
