Overview

We are currently seeking a responsible and motivated individual to fulfill the role of Shop Labourer (Panel Assembler) to assist in the fabrication, assembly, and packaging of Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Follow direction from Senior Team members
  • Fabricate and assemble ACM panels in accordance with work orders and established processes
  • Verify completed panels for accuracy and to be free of defects
  • Complete QA/QC documentation throughout fabrication and assembly process
  • Operate various hand tools including but not limited to drills, countersinks, deburrers and riveters
  • Load and unload material from pallets and crates
  • Maintain a clean and stocked work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Flexible availability to accommodate deadlines, where and as needed
  • Experience in shop and/or fabrication an asset
  • Experience in the use of basic hand tools a must
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow work orders and instructions – including verifying measurements a must
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time within a shop environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, noisy environment
  • Ability to do heavy lifting and carrying of material and completed units
  • Dependability and accuracy a must
  • Team player a must
  • Basic PPE in the form of CSA approved steel toed footwear appropriate for both work environment and tasks
  • Proficiency in English – both written and spoken
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop. Please note our office and shop are located within an industrial area on the southside of Edmonton. While public transportation is available within walking distance, there are no pick up locations within the immediate area of us and the bus schedule can vary.

Additional:

  • Monday to Friday: 8AM to 430PM
  • Occasional weekend availability required, as needed and with notice
  • Overtime
  • Hours are subject to revision based on current shop production schedule, with notice
