Fabricator / Welder

The Sign Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for Fabricating, Welding, and Assembling Signs and other Custom Products based on Detailed Shop Drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Review and comprehend detailed shop drawings for production of high-quality products for use in extreme environments and fabricate and weld per plan using raw materials and CNC machined parts.
  • Weld primarily aluminum and occasionally steel based on detailed shop drawings and comprehend and follow all associated weld symbols.
  • Must be able to maintain qualifications for all required weldments within our welding program which includes multiple joint configurations in multiple processes and materials.
  • Must be able to properly wire electrical signs based on our UL program.
  • Work closely with designers to fabricate, weld and assemble final product that meets building and electrical codes and regulations and still maintain the creative intent of our high-profile clients.
  • Collaborate with design, fabrication, paint, and install departments to determine the best possible fabrication methods are used for each unique project to ensure strict quality standards of the final product.
  • Properly transfer and store highly sensitive material.
  • Work efficiently between multiple creative projects simultaneously to efficiently move them through the Fabrication process as rapidly as possible while maintaining a high-quality control.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Two to Five years’ experience in signage and custom fabrication.
  • Strong familiarity with Machining, Welding, Fabricating, and Finishing Processes involved in sign manufacturing.
  • Strong Experience reviewing detailed sign design drawings and fabricating product without deviating from plans.
  • Must be able to maintain deadlines in a fast-paced environment for high-profile clients.
  • Must be able to properly wire electrical signs in accordance with UL regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
