Overview

We are a welding/metal fabrication shop looking for a skilled labourer to work in shop and on site. Your main duties will vary dependant on experience and aptitude. You will play an integral role in supplying prepped and ready to weld parts and components for various projects, as well as installation on site. The ideal candidate will have some technical knowledge, ability to interpret blue prints and drawings and be proficient with a tape measure. This is an entry level position for someone willing to learn to new skills and become part of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Assemble, fit and install parts to form subassemblies or finished products.
  • Use and operate hand and power tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Operate cranes/hoists to transport large parts as required (training provided).
  • Maintain daily production requirements and ensure quality of products.
  • Follow health and safety rules, procedures and wear proper PPE.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train.
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Some technical knowledge, training and experience in a trade environment.
  • Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings.
  • Proficient with a tape measure, hand and power tools.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and a willingness to follow safety protocols.
  • Communication skills (English – written and verbal)
  • Precise with an attention to detail
  • Quick learner with with a positive outlook.

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
