Position Summary

The Skilled Trades Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting and hiring excellent craft workers (Plumbers, Pipefitters, Welders, Electricians, Sheet Metal Mechanics, HVAC Service Technicians, Apprentices and Helpers). In this role you will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting for hard to fill positions throughout the U.S. The ideal individual will have a high sense of urgency and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

Key Deliverables

Create and maintain a highly skilled pool of candidates to achieve highly critical KPI – time to hire.

Utilize the right recruiting sources to cost effectively and strategically deliver the right candidate at the right time across our partner companies; optimizing retention as well as cost and time to hire.

Maintain highly effective partnerships with key stakeholders to meet the recruitment and talent objectives of partner companies.

Position Responsibilities

Own full-cycle recruiting; focusing on partnering with hiring managers to define recruitment strategies, assess external/internal candidates against business needs, and apply interviewing techniques to assess for culture fit, expertise, and knowledge.

Collaborate with hiring managers and Operations team to fully understand talent needs, make effective hiring decisions and maintain a high level of communication.

Build, communicate and executive effective sourcing strategies and use research techniques such as direct sourcing, data mining, and networking to identify and both active and passive job seekers.

Create and work sourcing plans, report creation for weekly management review updates.

Network and build relationships to develop suitable ongoing contacts for referrals.

Further develop the company’s talent pipelines for each company’s for future needs and quick access to qualified staff.

Document applicant reviews and feedback in the applicant tracking system, ensuring communication of findings with recruiting, HR, and hiring supervisor, limiting rework.

Execute local recruitment programs and provide information about the company and its opportunities.

Gather, analyze and present information related to the supply/demand of talent, the labor market and compensation hiring trends, new sourcing avenues, and other relevant market data to help influence positive change.

Manage the candidate experience, while providing a positive experience and maintaining responsive communication, ensuring our partner companies are an employer of choice. Create a brand-worthy, inclusive candidate experience that helps us attract talent.

Collaboration with HR and Operations team to understand the organization’s talent position, identify gaps, and build short -term recruiting strategies/initiatives.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 years verifiable experience in skilled labor sourcing and recruiting. Skilled trade recruiting for commercial construction contracting preferred.

Demonstrated success sourcing for hard-to- find candidates.

Experience utilizing tools to pipeline, track and network with talent.

Experience utilizing extensive on-line searches and database searches to identify high potential candidates (LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, open web, etc.).

Experience working in an ATS and properly tracking candidate progress throughout the candidate experience, (UKG preferred).

Experience with relationship management, specifically cultivating and maintaining strong strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize recruiting needs, change direction as needed, and accept constructive feedback on a regular basis.

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Excellent communication skills needed including both written and verbal.

Positive attitude and organizational skills are required.

Excellent multitasking skills, detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

$65,000-$85,000 salary based on experience
