Overview
POSITION
MSJV is seeking Experienced Spacers/Pipefitter for our CGL Pipeline project in Houston, BC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experienced in pipeline operations and has considerable experience in welding, pipefitting / alignment, pipe preparation prior to welding activities.
- Required knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance
- Directing the machines operator to move and align the pipeline prior to welding.
- Inserting spacers between pipe ends.
- Inspecting joints to verify uniformity of spacing and proper alignment of pipe surfaces.
- Ensuring correct alignment of pipeline.
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of project welding procedure.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environment regulations and ensuring that personnel involved in operations adhered to them.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
· Must have experience in Pipeline above 24-inch pipe. Various safety tickets/certificates as required
Experience
· Minimum two years of experience as a Spacer/Pipefitter
· Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Conditions
· This position is field based and often works within remote project locations. Travel and/or living in temporary accommodations will be required.
· Training will be provided, as necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $36.00-$38.00 per hour
