Overview
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Ensuring fitters, welders, and helpers have all the necessary tools and materials to complete their tasks
Coordinating with the Fabrication Supervisor, Planner, and QA/QC to ensure that all deliverables are executed per the schedule, priority, and to project requirements.
Confirming work orders in a timely fashion
Reviewing scope of work and communicating recommendations of fabrication planned hours to Fabrication Supervisor
Documenting any rework and reporting it to the Fabrication Planner and Supervisors
Ensuring your immediate work areas are kept clean and organized, that all tools are returned, welding machines and fans turned off, and all hoses/cords are wrapped up at the end of shift
Ensuring all spools are free of debris, and safe prior to confirming their operation
Mentoring and training welders, fitters, and helpers
Addressing personnel issues in a timely manner with direct reports in a professional manner; including but not limited to performance, attendance, tardiness, attitude, bullying, productivity, work habits, etc. under the guidance of the Supervisor.
Leading daily safety meetings with assigned spooling team
Documenting employee call-ins for vacation, sick time, late-ins, early-outs, etc.; and communicating with Kronos Admin and Supervisor.
Ensuring devices (Scanners) in their area are On-line at shift end
Performing safety responsibilities in your area
Maintaining and leading the 6S program in your area.
Job Specifications
High School Diploma/GED or 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industrial experience.
Ability to lead and direct the work of others. Exceptional attendance and safety record.
Working Conditions
Fast-paced production environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
