Overview

Shifts: Day Shift (Monday-Friday: 6:30am – 3:0pm). Must be flexible to work an Afternoon or Night shift.

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

Probation Wage: $20.85 – $21.60 (depending on experience)

Probation Completion Wage: $22.97

One Year Wage: $24.18

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Read Mott drawings to determine requirements
  • Set controller to the required heat, matching type of steel and thickness
  • Spot weld & test first off samples and record results
  • Check parts to drawings for quality and quantity
  • Fit correct parts together as per drawings
  • Use appropriate jigs when required
  • Verify welded assemblies to drawings and place on carts for paint
  • Maintain integrity of weld continuously through the process
  • Metal finish when needed
  • Change tips and proper set up
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to read blueprints and data sheets
  • Ability to work with power hand tools effectively (ie. cordless drill)
  • Must know how to use a tape measure
  • Basic math skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Physically fit for heavy lifting of > 35 lbs
