What You Will Do: The Spray Welder sets up and operates all welding equipment. Uses hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes). Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions. Must maintain welding specifications in accordance with all quality and safety protocols.

Setup and operate welding machines based on job requirements

Previous GTAW Manual or Automatic experience preferred

Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standard

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Interact politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers

Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

1+ years of relevant experience

Good computer skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Commitment to work overtime as needed

Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity

Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals

Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents, and fractions to decimal equivalents

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

Physical Demands:
The employee regularly lifts and carries 75 lbs. and occasionally lifts and carries up to 150 lbs. with assistance

Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
