Prevention is a key component of our pipeline safety program at Enbridge. Are you an Engineer who is experienced with welding and repair operations for pipelines and facilities? Do you keep up-to-date with the newest technology?

In this role, you will work with internal partners to promote program excellence and to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and company specifications for work within the Liquid Pipelines System.

What you will do:

  • Ensure consistent implementation of welding and repair processes for Enbridge assets by providing Domain Expertise on methods and technologies.

  • Support the strategic implementation of new technical practices and technologies by developing and executing a forward-looking Welding technology plan (Pipeline Integrity Welding Technology Roadmap) in collaboration with multi-functional teams.

  • Maintain and improve Enbridge’s welding, materials procurement and repair processes and procedures.

  • Act as the Pipeline Integrity representative for the PLM Technical Committee, Welding Sub-committee.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGA is required.

  • 7 years of industry-related experience.

  • Previous experience in welding, materials science, and pipeline repairs.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills:

    • to influence others and gain consensus, dedication and engagement.

    • to communicate/present to a wide variety of partners.

    • to develop and maintain quality relationships with partners.
