Night Shift
***EDUCATION REQUIREMENT – HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED***
DURATION: 6 MONTHS – NO OPPORTUNITY TO CONVERT TO DIRECT HIRE AT THIS TIME
SCHEDULE: 2ND SHIFT START AND END TIMES COULD VARY, WEEKLY OT IS REQUIRED
TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:
– ABILITY TO WELD CARBON AND STAINLESS STEEL
INTERVIEWS WILL INCLUDE AN ON-SITE WELD TEST. MANAGER IS MOTIVATED TO HIRE ASAP.
JOB SUMMARY:
Rework, fit and weld according to written and typed instructions, blueprints, manufacturer’s specifications and knowledge of characteristics of metal. Select equipment and plan layout, fabrication, assembly and welding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Lay out, position, align, and fit components together using applicable machines, tools, and equipment.
– Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for final welding.
– Weld various materials using processes such as, but not limited to, manual, semi-automatic, or mechanical Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
– Weld various metal types such as structural, pipe, and stainless.
– Read, interpret, and execute written instructions, engineering drawings, and welding procedure specifications.
– Able to use and correctly set up Oxy-fuel torch, carbon arc gouge, and different weld machines as required to complete job.
– Utilize grinders, temperature crayons, operate overhead bridge cranes, and jib cranes.
– Keep work area clean and hazard free.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $33.00 – $36.00 per hour

- Welding: 4 years (Preferred)
