JOB TITLE: STAINLESS MIG WELDER

JOB SUMMARY

TIG Welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of Aluminum.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must be able to read a tape measure.

Ability to use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances.

Must be able to identify and measure material.

Lift to from floor up to 50 lbs.

Two hand carry up to 50 lbs.

CORE DUTIES

Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.

Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.

Positions and clamps workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures.

Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.

Performs all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Be able to move parts in and move finished product out of welding area, some lifting may be up to 50 pounds.

HOURS

1st shift position

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Thursday- overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential- a high level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast pace, demanding environment.
