Duties

· Tig welding production components.

· Other welding tasks, including fabrication of custom racking, fixtures, jigs, etc. for production.

· Running production equipment to produce in-house components, assembly, run-up, cleaning and maintaining shop equipment, and keeping the shop organized and clean.

· Mechanical assembly

· Work together with our team to improve products and develop best manufacturing practices

Experience

Technical skills can be taught on the job – brains and attitude cannot. We are looking for candidates who can learn quickly, work with a sense of urgency and bring a positive attitude to the workplace. Demonstrate this to us and you’re in!

Abilities

· Attention to detail and ability to produce high quality stainless steel Tig welding.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

· Must be able to work well with others.

· Willing to train the right candidate

· Experience with welding stainless steel and finishing welds

· Experience working in a sheet metal shop (Preferred)

· Can read and work with detailed drawings to fabricate components to a high degree of precision.

Credentials

· Graduate of a College level welding program

· Current or previous CWB certifications in TIG welding – stainless preferred

Physical Requirements

· Ability to work with hand tools and power tools

· Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods and work under various temperature conditions

Hourly Wage $18 -$20/hour, dependent on skills and experience

Job Type Full-time

Hours Primarily day shift (7:00am – 3:30pm), with flexibility to work some afternoon/ evening shifts and longer hours as required

Location Carleton Place, ON. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
