Standard Assembly Welder

Douglas Machines Corp is HIRING: We are an EOE & Veteran Friendly employer that has been in business for over 40 years based in Clearwater Florida, in the manufacturing of Commercial Washing & Sanitizing Systems for the Food Processing and Bakery Industries with sustained stable growth ahead.

We are looking for several dedicated, self-motivated team players, to be part of “The Growing Douglas Team”.

Standard Assembly Welder

Available Opening(s):

Multiple shifts and positions are available.

Job Description:

· Position requires the ability to fabricate sheet metal, pipe, and tube.

· Fit/tack together pieces into subassemblies, then into complete machines.

· Use MIG and TIG processes to weld inside, outside corners of sheet metal, angle, tube, and pipe.

· Clean all welds use buffing wheels and air-driven wire brushes.

· Install fittings, pumps, gauges, and hardware to complete machine assembly.

Job Qualifications / Skill Requirements:

· Must have work history using MIG and TIG welding processes.

· Ability to read, understand and follow the shop drawings.

· Be able to work independently yet be part of a team.

· Ability to read a tape measure, work in fractions, and do basic math.

· Be able to safely operate basic hand tools such as drills, grinders, and air-driven tools.

· General Plumbing and Electrical skills are helpful but not necessary.

· Forklift, Scissor Lift, Press Brake, or other equipment experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to work in a sitting, standing or kneeling position & lift to 50 lbs.

· Climb up and down ladders, bend, squat, and lay on the ground and reach overhead.

Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
