A Snapshot of Your Day

The primary job requirements of this position are to perform awide variety of hand skill operations to disassemble / re-assemble turbinerotors and related parts to meet engineering drawing requirements.

Responsibilities include:
Executemetal deformation processes using both machine and manual methods for rivetforming.

Performvariety of machining operations using manual milling machines, surfacegrinders, mag base/radial drills for sizing and fitting of rotating air foils.Weld and braze activities for joining blade lugs and assembly of blade erosioncontrol. Operate dust blast equipment to non-destructively clean components.

Useprecision instruments to measure frequency, temperature, and size for assembly,fitting, and final product quality checks.

Youwill receive written/verbal instructions from supervisors/manufacturingengineers, interprets detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufacturesspecifications, etc., and determine necessary tools.

Load/unloadparts from machines and/or assists crane operator.

Usesmanual welders to perform various welding on steam rotors components.

Abideby all company policies regarding, safety, quality, housekeeping, andperformance expectations.

Must have experience participating in continuous improvement/lean activities that meet operational excellence expectations.

What You Bring

Minimum3-5 years’ experience in close-tolerance handwork and strong math skillset.

Minimum1 year experience with manual welding.

Abilityto successfully pass the required 6G welding spec(s). within 3-4 years.

Must beable to attain in-house certifications on fork truck operation and criticalcrane lifts.

Computerskills with Windows based software would aid with your work experience.
