Overview
Baydo Towers is currently looking for a Steel Erector to begin work immediately. Wages will be based on experience. Our company specializes in structural and misc. steel fabrication and erection. Please apply if you meet the following criteria:
Skills Required:
- Able to identify key building components
- Prepare material prior to assembly, organized and able to prepare job sites
- Hoisting and guiding components into place using cranes or forklifts
- Operate and working from elevated work platforms (EWP)
- Attaching cables/turfers to steel members
- Rig hoist and move material
- Complete housekeeping duties as required
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures and local government health safety regulations
- Remain current in steel building trade practices through educational opportunities while actively participating in safety training and maintaining operator tickets as required
- Communicate effectively with job site manager
- Can unload and stage material on site before installation
- Can repair material on site or in shop
- Able to manage all materials/consumables and tools for small and large projects
- Ability to work in the elements (heat, cold, wind, rain/snow), and must not be afraid of heights
Skills that would be an asset:
· Training (Scot, Fall Protection, Rigging)
