Title: Stick Welder
Location: Miller Waste Solutions Group – Brampton
Reporting to: General Manager
Hours: Monday – Friday (7:30am to 4:30pm)

Miller is a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba. Miller has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations.
Responsibilities:
In the position of a Welder, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Completing inspections, installation, service repairs, and maintenance on waste equipment such as compactors, waste bins, garbage chutes and bin pullers
- Inspections and repairs on waste bins – completing quotes, service calls and work orders on a daily basis
- Pre-site inspections with sales and supervisor as part of installation process
- Emergency after hour service, as needed.
- Always Providing exceptional customer service and communicating with management and maintenance staff at each location.
- You will also be responsible for daily circle checks of work vehicles and maintaining material level of work vehicles
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Previous welding experience is required
- CWB Certification is considered a strong and desirable asset
- Previous mechanical and hydraulics experience is required.
- Intermediate experience and knowledge on electrical and hydraulics systems is desirable.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults on electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Post-secondary education in industrial mechanics is considered a definite asset.
- Must possess a valid G license with a clean drivers abstract
