Whitemud Ironworks Limited is the largest open shop commercial fabricator/erector in Western Canada. We are a fully integrated steel fabricator and erector that specializes in structural and miscellaneous steel projects in the commercial sector.
We are recognized as an industry leader. Due to our reputation, we have grown substantially over the past 25+ years with established offices and construction crews in BC and AB and three fabrication facilities across Alberta totaling over 400,000 square feet.

We are seeking highly skilled Structural Ironworkers to join our construction team based out Edmonton. We welcome applications from local applicants as well as those who are willing to relocate. We offer relocation assistance to relocate to the Edmonton area.
Please note, this is a local position, so fly in fly out will not be provided.
The key duties of this position include:
- Read blueprints and specifications to lay out work
- Offload, sort and prepare structural steel for erection
- Perform erection of structural, ornamental and other miscellaneous metal work
- Perform reconstructive work on existing structures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Journeyman or apprentice Ironworker with structural ironworking experience
- Experience with commercial projects preferred
- Flexibility to work in town, out of town, as well as overtime when required
- Reliable and an excellent team player

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
