Overview

Welders and Fitters at Midwest Structural are required to fit and weld structural components to specifications requested by the customer. These specifications will be explained to workers in detail before starting processes by their supervisor. Welders/Fitters are required to be competent in the following processes.

Tasks:

– Forklift Operation, if certified

– Handling Compressed Gas Cylinders

– Hoisting and Rigging

– Horizontal Bandsaw Operation

– Housekeeping

– Magnetic Drill Operation

– Equipment Inspections

– Overhead Crane Operation, if certified

– Operating Radiograph/OxyAcetylene Processes/Cutting Torch

– Plate Clamp Operation

– Portable Grinding Operation

– Roller Operation

– Using Power, Hand and Air Tools

– Welding applications; ACA Gouging, MIG Welding

Physical Demands:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
