Overview
Lyndon Steel Company is seeking full-time Structural Fitters and Welders to join our team on our 2nd shift in Winston Salem, NC
We would like to hear from you if you possess the following skill sets:
- 1 year minimum using gas-shielded solid core wire
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and comprehend basic blueprint technology
- Experience in pre-heating base materials
- Proficient in hand tools
- Proficient in the use of overhead cranes
- Must be able to clean and maintain an orderly work area
- Are self-motivated
- Safety conscious
- Attentive to personal attendance
- Willing to work overtime
- Mechanically inclined
- Mathematically inclined
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening test
- Must adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures
- Pass a welding test for full penetration welds
Candidates currently in a welding program are encouraged to apply, as we may be able to accommodate school schedules
Education/Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (ie: GED, Trade School etc.) preferred but not required
