Structural Steel Shop Welder / Fitter

Immediately hiring Shop Welders and Fitters in our Shop!

Location: Jonestown, TX
Schedule: 7am – 3:30pm (Monday through Friday) with possible overtime.

The qualified candidate will assist in the fabrication of structural steel components for commercial and residential projects. This position requires dependability, consistent attendance and attention to detail.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Ensure all parts are properly fitted and aligned.
• Produce quality welds to complete fabrication process
• Grind and finish edges or surfaces of material
• Able to meet established deadlines while adhering to safety practices
• Operate forklift machinery
• Move and prep steel material
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned
• Work in shop and outdoor environment with weather and noise elements

Specific Skills and /or Education:

• Experience working in fabrication shop desired
• Should have general mechanical aptitude
• General knowledge of machines and tools
• Ability to interpret tape measure with accuracy
• Visual acuity and safety awareness
• Position requires regular physical movement, steadiness and manual dexterity

Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Investigation required

Qualified candidates will be invited for on-site interview and weld test.

Compensation is based on experience and ability.
