A Division of Total Energy Services Inc., Opsco Process Corp .* is a Calgary based professional contractor for design, drafting and fabrication of custom made equipment for the oil and gas industry and we currently have an openings for the following Full Time Day and Night Shift* positions.
Structural Welder and Apprentices
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Shop Foreman/Leadhand the duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
– Complying with Quality and Safety standards.
– Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux- cored arc welding (FCAW), metal-core arc welding (MCAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
– Welding/fitting skids, tanks and other structural components and/or parts in compliance with CWB standards,
– Material preparation such as flame cutting, grinding and gauging.
– Read and interpret, construction drawings, blueprints and welding procedure specifications.
– Apprentices willing to learn the above descriptions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
– CWB experience /qualifications preferred, testing available.
– Experience in a Shop structural fabrication environment preferred.
– The ability to work individually and in a team setting,
– Self-motivated individual, with attention to detail, who takes pride in producing quality workmanship,
– Good time management and communication skills.
