Who You Are…
As a Structural Welder III you will be responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless steel, and other materials, equipment operation for assembly of structures and parts with precision.
Participate and facilitate in all safe start meetings.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Exemplary leadership in 5S standards and work practices to ensure a safe work area.
Responsible for the development and training of other team members.
Must be able to read, interpret and fabricate parts per CAD drawings.
Perform Foreman duties in his/her absence.
Layout, design and fabricate metal parts using numerous different tools, equipment and techniques.
Welding, cutting, fitting, bending and assembling of metal parts.
Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly with strong clean welds.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
All other duties as assigned.
What Do You Need…
HS Diploma or equivalent, preferred
3 to 5 years proven experience as a welder fabricator in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Related degree from a technical college preferred
Required to pass the D1.1 Weld Test
Must be able to observe and recognize problems during the welding process and adjust speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of the rod accordingly.
Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans.
Properly use fabrication shop hand tools. (grinders, drills, air tools, etc.).
Must be able to read & understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings
Some Fit-up & layout experience on structural/misc. steel and pipe spools.
