Structural Welder
Primary Responsibilities and duties
- Perform welding work involving a high degree of precision
- Weld various processes FCAW-S, FCAW-G, TGAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW
- Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine, and other industry machines, tools and equipment
- Make welding repairs and substandard welds
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, or general education development (GED) diploma
- 3 – 5 years welding work-related experience and/or training is required.
- Must preheat and weld metal components as specified by blue prints, welding symbols, job specifications, or welding procedures, must demonstrate proficiency in welding processes
- Must pass a written and/or practical skills test
- expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and in confined spaces
- Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
