Welding And Fabrication:

  • Experience with Acetylene and Plasma Torches
  • Knowledge of using and setting up Mig/Arc welding machines
  • Experience with constructing and manufacturing metal Structures

Automotive Mechanic

Job Description

To perform a variety of skilled automotive and equipment repair and maintenance tasks such as inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment in commercial vans, light-duty trucks and off-road equipment such as front loaders, excavators and other power-driven equipment in a safe, efficient, quality minded and focused manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

– Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

– Perform major and minor electrical and mechanical repairs to both gas and diesel vehicles.

– Conduct preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment. This includes but is not limited to air and exhaust systems, brake systems, fuel systems, pumps and related parts, transmissions, etc.

– Complete required forms and paperwork for fleet maintenance shop including, but not limited to, repairs orders, inspections forms, etc.

– Respond to a service calls.

– Road test vehicles to verify complaints and/or repairs.

– Schedule and arrange for the outsourcing of repairs if necessary.

– Ensure shop safety and cleanliness and abide by safety policies. Identify safety hazards and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

Job Requirements include the following:

– Identify safety problems and make repairs before a safety incident occurs

– Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and of. Road equipment

– Have input on future vehicle purchases and evaluation of existing equipment

– Knowledge of engines and controls

– Knowledge of transmissions and controls

– Knowledge of the various vehicles and equipment such as excavating machines

– Skilled in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems on trucks and equipment
