Overview
NVIT anticipates a requirement for a full-time, term instructor for the Welder Foundation Certificate Program and invites applications from qualified individuals. This term is expected to go from August 2022 with a term end date March 31, 2023.
Job Summary:
This position includes instructional responsibilities such as: teaching provincial curriculum; preparing and presenting classroom lectures, course delivery and assessment materials; providing practical demonstrations; and working collaboratively within our Trades team and with the Dean. The program curriculum will include sectors of the economy such as manufacturing, construction, transportation, resource extraction and resource development and learning outcomes, including safe work practices; an overview of rigging and hoisting equipment; use of hand tools and portable power tools, and all administrative responsibilities including assignments, examination marking, and student evaluation.
