TIG Stainless Welder/Fabricator Job Description

$21-$22/hour but will pay more for more experience/expertise

Background Check & Drug Test required if selected for position

List below is minimum requirements but are not limited to and could be subject to change with management’s discretion.

· Selects equipment needed, plans layout, set up workstation, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

· Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.

· Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding, determine welding position and type of metal to fuse

· Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment. (MIG/TIG)

· May assemble parts by bolting and riveting.

· May fabricate parts by cutting, drilling, bending using various saws, & various shop equipment

· May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.

· Verify all tools and parts needed for Job Orders

· Weld according to Job Orders/drawings/verbal instruction

· Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals

· Produce Quality Work

· Reports any issues and provides corrective action to Supervisor/Manager

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs or more

· Must be able to frequently stand, sit, walk, lift, twist, bend at the waist, reach overhead for 8-10hours per day

· Maintain Safe, Clean, and Organized workstation

· Clean and Sweep Area last 10 mins of shift

Experience:

5 years of Experience & appropriate welding certifications for types of welds to be performed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
