Overview

PURPOSE:
Under general management, work in a team responsible to fabricate and install equipment within a manufacturing site. This responsibility includes all installation tasks from project start to completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and understand specific daily job assignments, work priorities and work instruction

Prepare and clean parts using various methods as needed.

Receive, check, and verify sub-parts needed for job work order(s); fix/resolve discrepancies

Fabricate/weld various parts correctly using job build list, drawings, specifications, and procedures

Check and inspect work at in-process and final check points as per documented weld procedures

Input all build data and accurately voucher time and materials into manufacturing software system

Meet and sustain project quality and timeline performance criteria

Organize, clean, and maintain work area, tools, equipment, etc. daily in a safe and secure manner

Establish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workers

Must be able to meet essential duties of the following:
Weld Cleaning and Preparation

Welding and Production Flow.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
AWS D1.1 Certification

At least three (3) years’ experience in TIG welding or similar equipment fabrication / installation

Experience in Automotive Manufacturing environment (Preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to communicate and work within a team

Reading and using blueprints or technical diagrams

Planning and layout of welding sequence

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
