TIG WELDER – (Local Candidates ONLY)

Quality Fabrication & Design is a custom stainless steel snack food processing equipment manufacturer since 1987.

Candidates must have experience working in a manufacturing environment exclusively welding stainless steel and Mild Steel using TIG Welding.

Must have experience to Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, fryer shells; and other duties as assigned. Ability to effectively communicate with other manufacturing employees, while maintaining a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. Must be well organized and have good attendance and management skills. Must have TIG Welding and Stainless-Steel experience more than 10 years.

CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A WELD TEST USING 16 GAUGE STAINLESS STEEL WITH TRIGGER (HAND-HELD) WELDER.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set-up welding equipment and weld components needed for each job.
  • Using Blueprint drawings as guide, must determine materials needed, plan layout, assemble, and weld parts to construct equipment.
  • Assemble and install components according to specifications or directions.
  • ·Examine welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· High School diploma or GED, 5 years related experience.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Ability to interpret both oral and written instructions, and diagrams.

· Strong understanding of Quality Control standards

· Strong communication and attention to detail

· Proven experience as a Welder

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Reach with hands and arms. · Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· Stand, walk, climb using ladders, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

WORK ENVIRONMENT (LOUD)

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a non-climate control manufacturing.

· The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

· The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Friday 6:30 am to 2:30 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
