DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Weld Shop

REPORTS TO: Welding Supervisor

1st and 2nd shift openings available and up to $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift available!

1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm

2nd shift Monday-Thursday 3:30 pm-2am

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years previous experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Valid Driver’s License

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for tacking and welding various metal parts together, fuses parts together, and seals tension points.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to Tig weld various materials (Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel)
  • Must be able to work to & maintain tight tolerances
  • Must be able to read & interpret blueprints
  • Able to rework parts to restore to required tolerances which have become distorted as a result of welding operations or other processes
  • Must be proficient with scales & calipers
  • Can make proper corrections during production to obtain good quality parts
  • Must have thorough knowledge of safety and correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment
  • Maintains clean & safe work area
  • Must be proficient with hand tools
  • Self-motivated
  • Has a strong personal standard when it comes to safety, quality, and productivity
