Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be:

– welding and assembling parts

– participating with the implementation of new prototypes and giving assistance to building those

-generalized shop duties including, but not limited to, cutting, grinding, drilling, cleaning, shipping/receiving

-etc.

Qualifications Needed:

-A working knowledge of TIG Welding applications, preference to Aluminum

-Post Secondary schooling in a welding program, preference to a school that is acknowledged by the Ontario School of Trades for the apprenticeship program

-High School Diploma or Equivalent

-Valid Drivers License

-Experience with hand tools is an asset

-Ability to work 8.5-12 hours as the workload dictates the hours

**Current hours are 6am-3:30pm (Mon-Thurs), 6am-1pm (Friday)

-Ability to lift 60 pounds unaided – this is imperative to be able to load your jigs

-Strong work ethic

-Ability to work independently and in groups

No pre-existing injuries that can cause extended absences from work or the ability to lift the items in/out of the jigs

Dress Code:

-Steel/Composite Toe that meets industry standards (green triangle) is mandatory and not provided

-Welding Helmet used in TIG welding is mandatory and not provided

*All other items, shop glasses or face shield, welding gloves, ear plugs are provided

Training on our materials will be provided to the successful candidate
