Titan Trailers Weld School – Taking Applicants – POSTPONED to May 24, 2022 start

Do you have a passion for welding but just havent had the chance to develop your skills? Do you want to earn money while you learn? Why not join the Titan Trailers Weld School and become a Production Welder? You will be paid minimum wage while you learn and upon successful completion of the program, you will be offered an opportunity to join our amazing team of Welder/Fitters.

The Weld School Trainee will participate in our Titan Trailers Training Centre program that is designed to teach participants what it takes to become part of the Welding team at Titan Trailers. If you successfully complete the program, you will be invited to work for Titan Trailers with some of the best Welders in the industry on the best trailer on the road.

NEXT WELD SCHOOL STARTS TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2022. INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD THE WEEK OF MAY 16, 2022.

As a Weld Student you will …

Attend the Training Centre each day and participate in the classroom studies as well as the shop components

Complete testing for each module as assigned

Participate in hands on instruction of Mig welding using Fronius welding machines

Clean and maintain good housekeeping of your work/training area

Complete assignments in classroom and in the shop

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Must be Mechanically inclined and genuinely interested in learning to weld as a career

Able to work in a dirty and dusty environment

Reliable attendance and punctuality at the Weld School is mandatory

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Some experience using fractions and a tape measure would be an asset

Work Conditions

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Dusty and dirty environment

Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Safety glasses/goggles, etc. will be provided

Hazards associated with the trade.

Regular hours are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6 am to 12 noon on Friday for the Training Centre. (Regular work hours in the Shop are 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to noon Friday). You will be paid $15.00 per hour while at the Training Centre.
