Overview
Boasso Global, a premier intermodal service company providing transportation and tank container services, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician/Traveling Welder to support our Chalmette, LA facility.
Candidate must have experience in structural/pipe welding, fitting, measuring, laying out, cutting, grinding, forming and drilling. Acetylene torch for cutting metal as well as plasma cutting. Manual hand tools including come-a-longs, clamps, hammers, mauls, grinders, saws, band saws, drills and measuring tapes. Good mechanical aptitude, able to work on multiple tasks and the ability to follow direction is required. Exposure to various skilled trades (i.e. mechanical, electrical, etc.) and an industrial setting is a plus. Some travel to other locations will be required.
Preferred candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED, have attended a vocational technical institution studying various skilled trades or has worked in a construction environment.
