Overview
For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Welder in Maguire Iron’s iron division will lead in assembly and welding of metal parts on production line, using welding equipment, requiring good knowledge of welding techniques. This person will be well-skilled in assembly and welding of metal parts on production line, using welding equipment, requiring good knowledge of welding techniques. This person will be able to organize and complete work in a timely manner. This person will be responsible for Safety, Quality and Production Standards and Goals.
Essential Functions:
Skilled in all welding processes
Skilled in all fitting procedures
Ability to identify and repair quality issues
Ability to understand blueprints completely
Responsible for a clean and safe work area
Mark material with proper identification
Ensure material coming into and going out of work area(s) is properly identified
Ability to understand overhead hoists
Qualifications:
High School graduate or have a General Education Degree.
Goal oriented, reliable and responsible.
Ability to accept responsibility for others in the work area
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work safely (follow company safety policies at all times).
