Expertec is a leading turnkey provider of van and truck outfitting in Western Canada, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We design and install custom equipment and accessories for industrial and commercial service vehicles including aluminum slide-in service bodies, Spacekaps, van shelving, flat decks, mobile lube skids, top quality truck caps and canopies.

We are adding an Accessories Installer / Welder / Fabricator to our team in Abbotsford, BC.

Job details

  • Full time – Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Weekends off.
  • Full Benefits after 90 days including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to construct, assemble and install van and truck equipment. This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and additional duties or responsibilities may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work under the general supervision of the Production Coordinator;
  • Install truck equipment including flat decks, Service Bodies, Spacekap service bodies, Hydraulic lift gates, headache racks, toolboxes, and Canopies;
  • Aluminum & Steel welding and fabrication including positional welding on trucks;
  • Install 12V Vehicle Accessories including Beacons, Strobes, Traffic Advisors, interior and exterior lighting, power inverters;
  • Adhere to all safety regulations;
  • Assure efficient use of personnel, materials, facilities and time;
  • Keep shop area clean and tidy;
  • Shipping & receiving when required;
  • Pick up and deliver vehicles when necessary;
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude is required;
  • 1-3 years’ welding experience is required;
  • Driver’s Licence is required;
  • Sheet metal experience is considered an asset;
  • Forklift Licence is considered an asset.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
