We are pleased to offer the full-time permanent position of Underground Pipe Welder

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment used in the welding trade.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawing’s specifications, manuals and processes; examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/ or specifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the operation of shop tools
  • Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
  • Manually lifting weights between 20-50 lbs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Industrial experience
  • Underground experience + underground Basic Hard Rock Common Core is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CWB certification preferred (SMAW All Positions)
  • TSSA certification required
